Rain on Saturday failed to dampen the wartime spirit but the show went on. Sunshine on Sunday brought out the crowds to enjoy the vintage atmosphere and soak up life as it was lived in wartime Britain.

"Thank you so much for your kindness when we stayed at SB for the Village at War event.
Despite the Saturday typical English weather the weekend was great."

"A lovely week-end, though weather on Saturday not so brilliant. It made up for it on Sunday. Many, many thanks to all who worked hard to make it happen, and thanks for inviting us. We look forward to next year. Will the 'war' never end though?"

"...An excellent weekend as always. Although the weather on Saturday was miserable, typically British. There we were supporting with umbrella's! Well done to all the helpers for their hard work."
