"A brilliant great value day out for all the family."
"This is a brilliant day out for all the family. If you love canal boats and World War 2 - vintage costumes and history this is for you. A step back in time. See the land army girls, French Resistance, Spivs and Home Guard, jeeps & motorcycles."
"There's so much to see at this fantastic event. Do come along and join in the fun."
"We had an amazing day today at the festival. We went to watch Lola Lamour's first set at 1pm and just missed the rain. She was amazing, as usual. We stayed on to watch the Ukulele band and the skies opened with heavy rain, hailstones, thunder and lightning. The band asked the audience down by the Alhambra stage to come under the bridge. We all did behind the stage, the band turned around to face us and we had an amazing sing song of 1940's songs. The atmosphere reminded me of the camaraderie seen in the air raid shelters. Wonderful. We got soaked but it didn't matter. Wonderful event, so well organised and so much to see, listen to and do. We will certainly come next year. Thank you."
"Once again a great weekend at Village at War. The downpours didn't seem to dampen peoples enthusiasm. Well done to everyone involved."
